Funkhouser has a full arsenal of pitches, with a mid 90’s fastball, a good slider, a changeup, and a working curveball. He has a strong frame at 6-3, 225 making him very durable, yet he’s a groundball pitcher, which is unusual for a first round prospect. This 3-time spelling bee-champ was a winner at Louisville too and will likely take those winning ways to the next level.
