Analysis

Lawal is a classic workhorse player. He is extremely active, and does a lot of the dirty work that needs to be done on both ends. His offense has consistently improved since he entered college and he uses his body well establishing position in the post. He has also developed a nice jump shot out to 10-15 feet. He still needs to improve his face-up game by learning to take the ball to the basket. On defense, Lawal shows great technique in his rebounding. He boxes out well, goes after the basketball and secure it with both hands. He has also improved using his body to force offensive players away from the post. Lawal has the ability now to play at the NBA level, but if he improves his footwork, he is capable of giving a team some solid minutes every night.
