Analysis

Hayward has developed into one of the better all-around talents in college basketball. On offense, he has become a dependable scorer and playmaker. He has great size for a small forward, and can easily shoot over defenders. He is also a very good passer for his size and does a good job getting his teammates involved. Though not the quickest defender, Hayward does a good job keeping his assignment away from the basket. He is also a strong rebounder, going hard after missed shots. If he adds a little more muscle, he could become much more of an offensive and defensive force.
