SCOUTING REPORT
Strengths: Looney is a very efficient rebounder on both sides of the floor. He’s explosive and grabs the ball at its highest point. Looney has good length as a defender and can cause a lot of errant shots. He can shoot well for a power forward, and the mid-range jumper could certainly be a big perk if he uses it right. Looney is aggressive on offense and will get to the line often. He has a great motor and his competitiveness is contagious.

Weaknesses: He’s a little short for an NBA power forward, but his solid leaping ability will help that a touch. Looney will have to improve other offensive tools to be an effective NBA scorer. His left hand could use some work, and he’ll have to start using it more often. Looney’s perimeter game or post game are not NBA level yet, but he has potential in both areas and will certainly work hard for any NBA team.
