Next up....Oklahoma, a team quite different then the one they trounced in last years bowl matchup.

3 Michigan State 12-1 W:#4 Iowa 16-13 3

Gutsy performance for the Spartans earns them a date with Alabama.

4

Oklahoma 11-1 Idle

6

No Conference Championship did not cost the Big 12 this year. We think the committee got it right.

5

Iowa

12-1

L:#3 Michigan State 13-16

4

The defense played well enough for the Hawkeyes to win...no doubt.

6

Ohio State

11-1 Idle 5

Iowa played Michigan State a little tougher and therefore stay in front of the Buckeyes.

Stanford

11-2 W:#25 USC 41-22

7

The Cardinal comes out smelling like roses.

8

North Carolina

11-2 L:#2 Clemson 37-45 8

Clemson was the better team but the Tar Heels showed they belonged. "What if" will linger as North Carolina legally recovered the onside kick that was flagged for the phantom offsides...a call where they never identified the player...not a good ending to an otherwise great game.

9

Florida State

Bowl matchup with Houston could be one of the most entertaining we will see.

Notre Dame 10-2 Idle 10

A bowl game matchup with Ohio State....a nice matchup and worthy game to watch.

TCU gets a nice bowl draw with a hot Oregon squad.

Houston

Oklahoma State 10-2 Idle 14

Oklahoma State limps into the Sugar Bowl.

No shame in losing to Alabama. Getting back to the SEC title game makes this a year that exceeded most expectations for the Gators.

16

Baylor

9-3 L:Texas 17-23 12

Injuries became too much for the Bears down the stretch.

17

Oregon

9-3 Idle 17

One of the hottest teams in the land entering bowl season.

18

Ole Miss 9-3 Idle 18

The Rebels let a few winnable games slip away this year as 9-3 looks a little lackluster.

19

Navy

9-2 Idle 19

What looks to be the annual beatdown of Army still looms for the Midshipmen.

20

Utah 9-3 Idle 20

Will hook up against BYU for bragging rights for the state of Utah.

Michigan

9-3 Idle 21

Michigan draws Florida in the Citrus Bowl and they met in bowl games in 2003 and 2008...with the Wolverines winning both previous showdowns.

22

Temple

10-3 L:#16 Houston 13-24 22

The Owls could not handle the Cougars but Temple is another team that really exceeded expectations in 2015.

23

LSU 8-3 Idle 23

A favorable matchup for the Tigers running attack against a porous Texas Tech defense.

24

Wisconsin 9-3 Idle 24

Holiday Bowl with USC, this bowl is usually one of the better games we see.

25

Western Kentucky 11-2 W:Southern Miss 45-28 26

A team flying under the radar faces a hot South Florida team in the Miami Beach Bowl...should be a great game.

Memphis

9-3 Idle 29

Paxton Lynch gets a chance to carve up in Auburn in what could be his final collegiate appearance.

30

UCLA

8-4 Idle 30

Game against Nebraska will be far from easy.

31

Toledo 9-2 Idle 31

Great defenses on display when Toledo and Temple tangle.

32

Georgia

9-3 Idle 32

With coaching changes abound for Georgia and Penn State it is hard to say what kind of Bowl game we will see.

33

BYU

9-3 Idle 33

Pride game against Utah.

34

Bowling Green

What a triumphant return from injury for quarterback Matt Johnson this season.

Miami

8-4 Idle 38

The Hurricanes land their man in coach Mark Richt.

Thoughts and prayers with running back James Connor.

Arkansas

7-5 Idle NR

Won 5 of their last 6 with two wins coming against ranked opponents after a disappointing start....the only loss was a 50-51 shootout with Ole Miss.

Dropped Out: West Virginia.
