1

Alabama 6-0 W:#26 Arkansas 49-30

1

Minkah Fitzpatrick and his 3 interceptions were key for Alabama.

2

Ohio State 5-0 W:Indiana 38-17 2

Things weren't going well through the air for the Buckeyes but they had close to 300 on the ground to control the tempo against Indiana.

3

Clemson

6-0 W:Boston College 56-10 3

Clemson looks like they are starting to peak at just the right time.

4

Michigan 6-0 W:Rutgers 78-0 4

50 PPG averaged on offense and 10.3 allowed on defense. That's the largest average margin of victory at the FBS level.

5

Washington 6-0 W:Oregon 70-21 5

The Huskies being 6-0 isn't really surprising, it's how easy they are making it look that has everyone talking.

6

Texas A&M 6-0 W:#10 Tennessee 45-38 (2OT) 9

Texas A&M can control their own destiny if they can upset Alabama on the road.

7

Louisville 4-1 Idle 7

The Cardinals have a patch of very winnable games starting this week with Duke.

8

Wisconsin 4-1 Idle 11

Wisconsin had a week off to try and patch up the quarterback play before welcoming #2 Ohio State to town.

9

Nebraska 5-0 Idle 12

238 passing yards a game on offense and 234 rushing yards per game, about as balanced as you can get.

10

Ole Miss 3-2 Idle 13

Consecutive road games with Arkansas and LSU does not make this an easy road for the Rebels.

11

Tennessee 5-1 L:#9 Texas A&M 35-42 (2OT) 10

The magic in Tennessee has run out after falling behind in virtually every game they have played this season.

12

Baylor 5-0 Idle 14

The back half of Baylor's schedule is loaded once again as they rack up the early season victories.

13

Boise State 5-0 W:New Mexico 49-21 15

Brett Rypien with a QBR of 98.8 after a line of 21-28 391 and 5 touchdown passes.

14

Houston 5-1 L:Navy 40-46 6

The defense had been so good...but they allowed 306 yards rushing to the Midshipmen.

15

Miami 4-1 L:#23 Florida State 19-20 8

Will have to see how serious the shoulder injury suffered by quarterback Brad Kaaya really is.

16

Florida 4-1 Idle 19

Game with LSU was postponed due to weather.

17

Oklahoma 3-2 W:#36 Texas 45-40 18

A little revenge for dropping last years Red River game to Texas but it was a hard fought win.

18

Florida State 4-2 W:#8 Miami 20-19 23

Dalvin Cook looks to be OK and the Seminoles scored their seventh straight win over the Hurricanes.

19

Virginia Tech 4-1 W:#16 North Carolina 34-3 27

Getting turnovers is one thing, but when you get four turnover and turn them into a pair of touchdowns and a pair of field goals for 20 points, that is where football games are won.

20

Western Michigan 5-0 W:Northern Illinois 45-30 20

The Broncos stay at #20 in our poll and they are now ranked in the AP for the first time since....ever!

21

LSU 3-2 Idle 24

Game with Florida was postponed due to weather.

22

West Virginia 4-0 Idle 25

The rest of October brings Texas Tech, TCU and Oklahoma State on the schedule. The defense will certainly be tested over those three games.

23

Utah 5-1 W:Arizona 36-23 28

The Utes are back in business after the Colorado loss in the ever-changing Pac-12 landscape.

24

Georgia 4-2 W:South Carolina 28-14 29

Georgia bounces back after losing on the Hail Mary against Tennessee.

25

Auburn 4-2 W:Mississippi State 38-14 39

35-0 lead at halftime as Auburn just coasted in the second half.

26

North Dakota State 5-0 W:Missouri State 27-3 33

Another efficient win for a team that belongs at the FBS level.

27

Arkansas 4-2 L:#1 Alabama 30-49 26

Big game against Auburn this week as the Razorbacks try to avoid an 0-3 SEC start.

28

North Carolina 4-2 L:#27 Virginia Tech 3-34 16

131 total yards and 4 turnovers is pathetic no matter what the weather conditions.

29

Oklahoma State 4-2 W:Iowa State 38-31 30

In the two games where Oklahoma State needed him most against Pittsburgh and Iowa State, James Washington has posted 17 catches for 448 yards and 4 touchdowns.

30

Arizona State 5-1 W:#32 UCLA 23-20 NR

Congrats to Sun Devils kicker Zane Gonzalez who now has 89 career field goals, a new NCAA record.

31

Stanford 3-2 L:Washington State 16-42 17

Back-to-back losses by Stanford and now a beat up Christian McCaffrey could mean a long year for Stanford.

32

Colorado 4-2 L:USC 17-21 21

Colorado comes off their first week as a ranked team in over 10 years and...they lose.

33

San Diego State 4-1 W:UNLV 26-7 38

Donnell Pumphrey continues to rack up yards and Heisman attention.

34

Wyoming 4-2 W:#22 Air Force 35-26 NR

October 29th against Boise State looks like it will decide the Mountain side of the Mountain West standings.

35

TCU 4-2 W:Kansas 24-23 NR

The Horned Frogs survive the upset bid by Kansas.

36

South Florida 5-1 W:East Carolina 38-22 40

6-13 on third downs and 2-2 on fourth down conversions, a formula that usually equates to success.

37

Navy 4-1 W:#6 Houston 46-40 NR

A +3 in the turnover category was a huge factor in the win over the heavily favored Houston Cougars.

38

Iowa 4-2 W:#35 Minnesota 14-7 37

Iowa avoids a third loss by the skin of their teeth. If you are a fan of offense I hope you turned away from the Iowa/Minnesota offering.

39

Washington State 3-2 W:#17 Stanford 42-16 NR

The Cougars are hot after starting the season 0-2.

40

Air Force 4-1 L:Wyoming 26-35 22

Air Force looked slower than Wyoming all day. The Falcons need to keep their heads up as they are still in the thick of the Mountain West race.

Dropped Out: Maryland, UCLA, Michigan State, Minnesota, Texas.
