Heisman Watch 2016: Week 12

1. Lamar Jackson – QB Louisville: 204-357 57.1% 3,109 yards 28 TD 6 INT 209 carries 1,367 yards 6.5 YPC 19 TD. LW 1.

Was the poor performance against Houston enough to knock Jackson off his Heisman perch? This was the time last year when the campaign for Leonard Fournette started to unravel.

2. Jabrill Peppers – S/RB/KR/PR Michigan: 65 tackles 16 TFL 4 sacks 8 quarterback hurries 1 FF 23 carries 163 yards 7.1 YPC 3 TD 20 PR 305 yards 15.2 YPR 1 TD 9 KR 216 yards 24.0 YPR . LW 2.

Huge game against Ohio State could seal the deal for winning a Heisman.

3. Jeremy McNichols – RB Boise State: 273 carries 1,575 yards 5.8 YPC 22 TD 32 catches 450 yards 14.1 YPC 4 TD. LW 7.

I don't understand how more people are not talking about "The Weapon".

4. Deshaun Watson – QB Clemson: 279-420 66.4% 3,077 yards 28 TD 13 INT 107 carries 435 yards 4.0 YPC 4 TD. LW 6.

Watson played a balanced game against Wake Forest.

5. Jake Browning Soph. – QB Washington: 193-300 67.7% 2,870 yards 37 TD 7 INT 4 rushing TD. LW 4.

Browning has put up his two lowest QBR games in successive weeks.

6. Donnell Pumphrey – RB San Diego State: 287 carries 1,855 yards 6.5 YPC 14 TD 25 catches 197 yards 0 TD LW 3.

First time in last 10 games that Pumphrey was held under 100 yards rushing.

7. Zach Cunningham – LB Vanderbilt: 109 tackles 16.5 TFL 4.5 sacks  3 fumble recoveries 4 forced fumbles 3 pass breakups 1 blocked kick.  LW 5.

Finalist for the Butkis Award, one he should win.

8. Christian McCaffrey – RB Stanford: 223 carries 1,399 yards 6.3 YPC 12 TD 35 catches 287 yards 2 TD LW 8.

McCaffrey has reemerged with his health intact and his stats going through the roof.

9. Quinton Flowers – QB South Florida: 167-273 61.2% 2,399 yards 22 TD 6 INT 157 carries 1,273 yards 8.1 YPC 13 TD. LW 8.

10. Baker Mayfield – QB Oklahoma: 222-311 71.4% 3,381 yards 35 TD 8 INT  6 Rushing TD. LW 10.
