Heisman Watch 2016: Week 2

1. Lamar Jackson – QB Louisville: 37-62 59.7% 697 yards 7 TD 1 INT 32 carries 318 yards 9.9 YPC 6 TD. LW 5.

Big test comes this week against Florida State but it looks like Lamar Jackson just lives in the end zone right now.

J.T. Barrett – QB Ohio State: 35-53 66.0% 498 yards 6 TD 1 INT 22 carries 85 yards 3 TD. LW 3.

Barrett is showing tremendous poise leading the Buckeyes back to the top of the polls and the Big Ten.

3 Greg Ward Jr. – QB Houston: 23-40 57.5% 321 yards 2 TD 0 INT. LW 1.

Ward drops from the top spot as he gets the week off.

4. Christian McCaffrey- RB Stanford: 22 carries 126 yards 5.7 YPC 2 TD 7 catches 40 yards 5.7 YPC. LW 4.

McCaffrey stays at #4 after a bye week. Stanford gets plenty of visability this week with USC on the docket.

5. Nick Chubb- RB Georgia: 52 carries 302 yards 5.8 YPC 3 TD. LW 2.

It was a monster start against North Caroplina while Nick and the rest of the team struggled against Nicholls.

6. Deondre Francois – QB Florida State: 58-84 69.0% 681 yards 5 TD 1 INT 15 carries 55 yards  0 TD. LW 6.

It didn't take long for Francois to make the Seminoles his team.

7. Kalen Ballege – RB Arizona State: 23 carries 193 yards 8.4 YPC 8 TD 4 catches 69 yards 17.3 YPC 1 TD LW NR.

It may be a brief appearance but an 8 touchdown performance will get you noticed in a hurry.

8. Jonathan Allen – DE Alabama: 7 tackles 3 TFL 3 sacks 3 quarterback hurries 1 blocked kick. LW 8.

Allen continues to do it all on defense for the Tide.

9. Donnell Pumphrey – RB San Diego State: 50 carries 379 yards 7.6 YPC 4 TD 8 catches 70 yards  0 TD LW NR.

Remains the best running back in the country that nobody has heard of.

10. Royce Freeman – RB Oregon: 32 carries 294 yards 9.2 YPC 4 TD 4 catches 34 yards  0 TD LW NR.

Freeman posted a huge game against Virginia and we look for the Ducks to get him more involved in the passing game over the next few weeks.

Honorable Mention: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri; Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson; Jabrill Peppers, LB/S/WR/KR, Michigan; Marcus Cox, RB, Appalachian State and Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M.
