1

Alabama 4-0 W:Vanderbilt 59-0

1

All the talk was how the Alabama offense would show against a tough Vanderbilt defense. Total yards: Alabama 677 Vanderbilt 78....wow.

2

Oklahoma 4-0 W:Baylor 49-41 2

Sitting atop the Big-12 but pass defense has to be a concern and could be the Achilles heel of the Sooners.

3

Clemson 4-0 W:Boston College 34-7 3

Broke open a very close game in the 4th quarter.

4

Penn State 4-0 W:#38 Iowa 21-19 4

Iowa proved they are no pushover on the road...just ask Michigan after last year. Penn State with what could be the Drive of the Year.

5

Washington 4-0 W:#20 Colorado 37-10 5

Rematch of the Pac-12 Championship Game from 2016 wasn't that close.

6

USC 4-0 W:Cal 30-20

6

How does the football team respond after the offense has looked off another week? Football is a team sport so the defense forcing 10 turnovers in 2 games is a great way to ensure you get some W's.

7

Georgia 4-0 W:#17 Mississippi State 31-3 11

The Georgia offensive line gave quarterback Jaker Fromm all day to throw.

8

TCU 4-0 W:#7 Oklahoma State 44-31 13

Statement win for the Horned Frogs who seem to have a habit of following up a losing season with a special one. The depth at running back is staggering.

9

Wisconsin 3-0 Idle 8

Wisconsin may have the "easiest" schedule over the next 4-5 weeks of any Big Ten team.

10

Ohio State 3-1 W:UNLV 54-21 9

Ohio State outgained UNLV by 400 yards but committing three turnovers will still leave a sour taste in coach Urban Meyer's mouth.

11

Michigan

4-0 W:Purdue 28-10 10

Another Michigan win that looked a little lackluster but they put it to Purdue in the second half.

12

Auburn 3-1 W:Missouri 51-14 14

The defense remains worlds ahead of the offense on this squad.

13

Virginia Tech 4-0 W:Old Dominion 38-0 21

It's not being 4-0 that is surprising about the Hokies, it's how fundamentally sound and easy they are making things look.

14

Oklahoma State 3-1 L:#13 TCU 31-44 7

Usually Oklahoma State has the letdown game a little later in the season but the TCU secondary was blanketing the Cowboy receivers and some key injuries along the line played out in the favor of the Horned Frogs.

15

Miami 2-0 W:Toledo 52-30 15

This game was closer than the score would indicate.

16

South Florida 4-0 W:Temple 43-7 16

This team is still making too many mistakes on special teams and taking dumb penalties but they remain unbeaten.

17

Louisville 3-1 W:Kent State 42-3 19

It may have been lowly Kent State but it was still good to see Louisville respond after being beaten soundly by Clemson.

18

Washington State 4-0 W:Nevada 45-7 25

Could the Apple Cup against rival Washington decide the Pac-12 this year?

19

Florida 2-1 W:Kentucky 28-27 24

Florida could easily be 0-3 but they remain a tough team that can hang with anyone nopt named Alabama in the SEC.

20

Notre Dame 3-1 W:Michigan State 38-18 29

There seems to be a quiet confidence building with this Irish squad.

21

Memphis 4-0 W:Southern Illinois 44-31 22

Memphis will get bitten soon by this defense if they don't clamp down. Memphis is winning shootouts right now but they cannot win week in and week out with this blueprint.

22

West Virginia 3-1 W:Kansas 56-34 28

Any team has to feel good seeing Kansas on the schedule.

23

San Diego State 4-0 W:Air Force 28-24 27

Rashaad Penny for Heisman, the campaign might need to get more exposure.

24

Mississippi State 3-1 L:#11 Georgia 3-31

17

Mississippi State looked to be a gear slower than Georgia all day long.

25

Tennessee 3-1 W:UMass 17-13 26

Had Tennessee lost to UMass it may have been anarchy in Knoxville.

26

Utah 4-0 W:Arizona 30-24 34

We have have underestimated Utah.

27

Georgia Tech 2-1 W:Pitt 35-17 33

Pitt has had trouble stopping the run all year, this was a great matchup for Georgia Tech and the triple option. We are surprised the Yellow Jackets didn't win by 40.

28

Oregon 3-1 L:Arizona State 35-37 18

See how the new coaching regime responds to their first big loss in Eugene.

29

LSU 3-1 W:Syracuse 35-26 31

Quarterback Danny Etling hung tough and made some quick reads and big plays on blitzes.

30

Colorado 3-1 L:#5 Washington 10-37 20

Colorado was moving the ball early on but not scoring enough points while Washington was sputtering early.

31

Central Florida 2-0 W:#23 Maryland 38-10 NR

A 28 point win after a couple of games being cancelled was impressive.

32

Duke 4-0 W:North Carolina 27-17 35

This team defies logic and just keeps winning.

33

Texas Tech 3-0 W:Houston 27-24 NR

Did Texas Tech use defense to win a football game? That may have been the most surprising result all weekend.

34

Iowa 3-1 L:#4 Penn State 19-21 38

Iowa gains four spots despite a loss after taking Penn State to the end of the game.

35

Minnesota 3-0 Idle 36

Good time for Minnesota to have an idle week with four winnable games on the horizon.

36

Stanford 2-2 W:#37 UCLA 58-34 39

Does Stanford have another charge in them after a pair of losses like 2016?

37

Texas A&M 3-1 W:#32 Arkansas 50-43 OT NR

The Aggies get back in the Fierce 40 after outlasting the Razorbacks.

38

Navy 3-0 W:Cincinnati 42-32 40

With the defensive problems in Memphis this could be the team to beat in the AAC.

39

NC State 3-1 W:#12 Florida State 27-21 NR

After opening the season with a disappointing loss to South Carolina the Wolfpack have responded.

40

Maryland 2-1 L:Central Florida 10-38 23

The quarterback situation is a huge question mark for Maryland.

Dropped Out: Florida State, Boise State, Arkansas and UCLA.
