Heisman Watch 2017: Week 12

1. Baker Mayfield – QB Oklahoma: 233-329 71.2% 3,816 yards 34 TD 5 INT 240 yards rushing 5 rushing TD. LW 1.

Mayfield needs to keep his emotions in check during games but there is no arguing his game performances.

2. Bryce Love – RB Stanford: 195 carries 1,723 yards 8.8 YPC 16 TD. LW 2.

Still not 100% physically and he is able to carry the team.

3. Saquon Barkley – RB Penn State: 183 carries 1,057 yards 5.8 YPC 14 TD 46 catches 590 yards 12.8 YPC 3 TD 13 KR 415 yards 31.9 YPR 2 TD 2-2 36 yards 1 passing TD. LW 2.

Sets the Penn State TD record and he still has one year of eligibility remaining (he likely won't be returning).

4. Jonathan Taylor – RB Wisconsin: 238 carries 1,657 yards 7.0 YPC 12 TD. LW 3.

Should be the top freshman on the ballot.

5. Lamar Jackson – QB Louisville: 226-378 59.8% 3,273 yards 23 TD 6 INT 190 carries 1,287 yards 6.8 YPC 17 TD. LW 8.

Jackson has 40 tochdowns (23 through the air and 17 with his feet) for the season.

6. Josh Adams – RB Notre Dame: 171 carries 1,337 yards 7.8 YPC 9 TD. LW 6.

Just feels like Adams is due for another big game really soon.

6. Josh Adams – RB Notre Dame: 153 carries 1,231 yards 8.0 YPC 9 TD. LW 6.

Helds to 40 yards against the Hurricanes.

7. Rashaad Penny – RB San Diego State: 253 carries 1,824 yards 7.2 YPC 17 TD 2 receiving TD 14 KR 426 yards 30.4 YPR 2 TD 1 PR 70 yards 1 TD. LW 9.

Takes over the rushing lead after a record-setting performance against Nevada.

8. Mason Rudolph – QB Oklahoma State: 266-414 64.3% 4,115 yards 33 TD 9 INT 8 rushing TD.  LW 7.

Only current player at the NCAA level with over 4,000 yards passing on the season.

9. Khalil Tate – QB Arizona: 83-140 59.3% 1,157 yards 9 TD 8 INT 125 carries 1,325 yards 10.6 YPC 11 rushing TD. LW 5

Oregon dared Khalil Tate to beat them with his arm and he couldn't respond.

10. Riley Ferguson – QB Memphis: 239-386 61.9% 2,881 yards 29 TD 8 INT 6 rushing TD. LW 10.

Ferguson runs for three touchdowns showing you have to account for him on the ground.

Honorable Mention:  Michael Gallup, WR, Colorado State; Will Grier, QB, West Virginia; Ed Oliver, DT, Houston; Luke Falk, QB, Washington State; J.T. Barrett, QB, Ohio State: and Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB, Alabama.
