Heisman Watch: Week 10

1. Dak Prescott – QB Mississippi State: 132-216 61.1% 2,025 yards 16 TD 7 INT 137 carries 725 yards 5.9 YPC 10 TD 2 catches 35 yards 1 TD. LW 1.

Made the big play and led his team from behind. Prescott has been turning the ball over a bit too often and his lead is miniscule over Marcus Mariota. Looks like this could come down to how he performs against Alabama.

2. Marcus Mariota - QB Oregon: 169-248 68.1% 2,541 yards 26 touchdowns 2 interception 71 carries 411 yards 5.8 YPC 7 TD rushing 1 catch 26 yards 1 TD. LW 2.

Accuracy is something to behold and his big game against Stanford was huge for Mariota as he was 0-2 lifetime against them coming into this game.

3. Melvin Gordon – RB Wisconsin: 173 carries 1,296 yards 7.5 YPC 18 TD 1 receiving TD. LW 4.

Continues to find the end zone with regularity.

4. Ameer Abdullah - RB Nebraska: 186 carries 1,250 yards 6.7 YPC 17 TD 13 catches 169 yards 2 TD 11 KR 24.7 AVG. LW 3.

Abdullah left early after gaining only 1 yard. Nebraska is off this week and with the rest Nebraska is optimistic Abdullah won't miss any time.

5. Jameis Winston – QB Florida State: 174-259 67.2% 2,279 yards 16 TD 9 INT 2 rushing TD. LW 6.

Tossing 3 interceptions was not favorable but again he showed tremendous poise in leading the team back.

6. Everett Golson – QB Notre Dame: 184-293 62.8% 2,311 yards 22 TD 7 INT 77 carries 272 yards 3.5 YPC 7 rushing TD. LW 8.

Six touchdowns against Navy, need I say more.

7. Trevone Boykin – QB TCU: 180-316 57.0% 2,472 yards 22 TD 4 INT 94 carries 423 yards 4.5 YPC 4 TD. LW 5.

Best game of the year was followed by his worst, big game and a win against Kansas State means Boykin gets a big push to be a Heisman finalist.

8. Amari Cooper – WR Alabama: 71 catches 1,132 yards 15.9 YPC 9 TD.LW NR.

Has been a catalyst for this offense with a new player under center.

9. Hau'oli Kikaha – DE Washington: 56 total tackles 21.5 TFL 15.5 sacks 2 FF 1 fumble recovery. LW 9.

Top defender along the defensive line right now and is on pace to have at least 25 tackles for loss with close to 20 sacks.

10. Rakeem Cato – QB Marshall: 132-228 57.9% 2,130 yards 20 TD 6 INT 43 carries 255 yards 5.9 YPC 5 TD. LW 10.

Will get consideration with Marshall still being undefeated.

Honorable Mention: Cody Kessler, QB, USC; Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State; Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor;  Shane Ray, DE, Missouri.
