by DJ Boyer on Nov. 24, 2014

Heisman Watch: Week 13

1. Marcus Mariota - QB Oregon: 210-309 68.0% 3,103 yards 32 touchdowns 2 interceptions 97 carries 597 yards 6.2 YPC 9 TD rushing 1 catch 26 yards 1 TD. LW 1.

Continues to put up monster stats and makes it look easy while doing so.

2. Melvin Gordon – RB Wisconsin: 254 carries 2,109 yards 8.3 YPC 25 TD 15 catches 147 yards 2 TD. LW 2.

Has a chance to put up 2,500 yards rushing in a season which is ridiculous.

3. Dak Prescott – QB Mississippi State: 189-308 61.4% 2,714 yards 23 TD 10 INT 171 carries 891 yards 5.2 YPC 12 TD 2 catches 35 yards 1 TD. LW 3.

Preparations for the Egg Bowl begin where Dak hopes Ole Miss and their woes continue.

4. J.T. Barrett – QB Ohio State: 190-293 64.8% 2,658 yards 33 TD 10 INT 156 carries 849 yards 5.4  YPC 9 TD. LW 5.

Continues to add to that single season touchdown record at Ohio State.

5. Jameis Winston – QB Florida State: 243-368 66.0% 3,125 yards 19 TD 13 INT 3 rushing TD. LW 4.

Going nearly two full seasons without a loss in a major conference is absolutely incredible.

6. Trevone Boykin – QB TCU: 229-386 58.0% 3,021 yards 24 TD 5 INT 122 carries 548 yards 4.5 YPC 7 TD. LW 7.

Boykin has a lot of good talent around him but a true shortage of elite talent on offense.

7. Garrett Grayson – QB Colorado State: 227-340 66.8% 3,413 yards 29 TD 5 INT  LW NR.

I have to admit I have been sleeping on Grayson most of the season but the teams success and numbers speak for themselves. Plan on doing a comprehensive study to grade his chances for success at the next level.

8. Rakeem Cato – QB Marshall: 188-322 58.4% 2,897 yards 28 TD 8 INT 66 carries 400 yards 6.1 YPC 6 TD. LW 9.

Stepped up to help lead the team through some adversity late in the game, something Marshall really hasn't had to do all season.

9. Jay Ajayi – RB Boise State: 276 carries 1,390 yards 5.0 YPC 19 TD 44 catches 535 yards 12.2 YPC 4 TD  LW 10.

Workhorse has led Boise State back to the the land of ranked teams once again.

10. Amari Cooper – WR Alabama: 90 catches 1,349 yards 15.0 YPC 11 TD.LW 8.

Primed to have a huge game against Auburn, a team who secondary has been inconsistent at best.

Honorable MentionBryce Petty, QB, Baylor;  Hau'oli Kikaha, DE, Washington; Devontae Booker, RB, Utah; Ameer Abdullah, RB, Nebraska; Shane Carden, QB, East Carolina.
