Heisman Watch: Week 6

1. Leonard Fournette – RB LSU: 119 carries 1,022 yards 8.6 YPC 12 TD LW 1.

Fournette runs for a season low...158 yards.

2. Ezekiel Elliot – RB Ohio State: 121 carries 835 yards 6.9 YPC 10 TD 16 catches 110 yards. LW 2.

Elliot needs to come up big against a Penn State defense this week that has been among the best in the country at stopping the run.

3. Trevone Boykin – QB TCU: 139-218 63.8% 2,103 yards 21 TD 5 INT 64 carries 366 yards 5.7 YPC 4 TD. LW 3.

Just when Kansas State started to bottle things up for Boykin he killed them with his feet.

4. Dalvin Cook - RB Florida State: 88 carries 792 yards 9.0 YPC 8 TD 7 catches 71 yards. LW NR.

Cook shakes off injury concerns with a huge in-state rivalry game against the Hurricanes

5. Devontae Booker - RB Utah: 140 carries 665 yards 4.8 YPC 6 TD 19 catches 194 yards. LW NR.

We have been waiting for that breakout game for Booker and it came against Cal with 222 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

6. Corey Coleman – WR Baylor: 31 catches 678 yards 21.9 YPC 13 TD.  LW 10.

Coleman has at least 100 yards and 1 touchdown in every game so far this season.

7. Josh Doctson – WR TCU: 50 catches 877 yards 17.5 YPC 10 TD.  LW NR.

Last four games for Doctson 38-722-9.....wow.

8. Myles Garrett – DE Texas A&M: 25 tackles, 9.5 TFL 7.5 sacks 3 forced fumble. LW 7.

garrett has been the best defensive end in the NCAA this season but needs to turn it up one more notch against Alabama.

9. Paxton Lynch – QB Memphis: 103-146 70.5% 1,535 yards 10TD 0 INT 36 carries 116 yards 1 TD. LW 8.

Big test against Ole Miss, this will decide whether Paxton Lynch becomes a household name or not.

10. Vernon Hargreaves – CB Florida: 19 tackles 3 INT 132 return yards 1 pass breakup. LW NR.

Simply the best cornerback at the NCAA level and right now it isn't even close.

Honorable Mention:Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame;  Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama; Tyler Matakevich, LB, Temple; Cody Kessler QB USC; Robert Nkemdiche, DE/DT, Ole Miss; Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson; and Jared Goff, QB, Cal.
