Heisman Watch: Week 8

1. Leonard Fournette – RB LSU: 176 carries 1,352 yards 7.7 YPC 15 TD LW 1.

At least 150 yards and 1 rushing touchdown in every game he has played this season....wow.

 

2. Trevone Boykin – QB TCU: 198-297 66.7% 2,927 yards 28 TD 5 INT 88 carries 526 yards 5.9 YPC 6 TD. LW 3.

Performance against West Virginia may have been the best of the season....so far.

 

3. Ezekiel Elliot – RB Ohio State: 167 carries 1,130 yards 6.8 YPC 13 TD 23 catches 160yards. LW 2.

The workload is about to get heavier for Elliot.

 

4. Paxton Lynch – QB Memphis: 174-243 71.4% 2,366 yards 17TD 1 INT 46 carries 125yards 2 TD. LW 7.

Lynch is comping off a career performance and leading his team to scoring 66 points.

 

5. Corey Coleman – WR Baylor: 47 catches 962 yards 20.5 YPC 18 TD.  LW 5.

The injury to Seth Russell could actually help his Heisman campaign if he keeps performing.

 

6. Josh Doctson – WR TCU: 71 catches 1,250 yards 17.6 YPC 14 TD.  LW 6.

Doctson contiues with his monster production.

 

7. Dalvin Cook - RB Florida State: 127 carries 1,037 yards 8.2 YPC 11 TD 15catches 181 yards 1 TD. LW 4.

It looks like Cook will miss the game with Syracuse due to an ankle injury.

 

8. Greg Ward Jr.- QB Houston: 133-186 71.5% 1,734 yards 10 TD 2 INT 105 carries 677 yards 15 TD. LW NR.

It's about time Greg Ward Jr. gets some love as he is on pace to rush for over 1,000 yards and 20 touchdowns.

 

9. Tyler Matakevich – LB Temple: 65 tackles, 7 TFL 4 sacks 4 interceptions. LW NR.

Will be on the national stage facing Notre Dame this weekend.

 

10. Matt Johnson – QB Bowling Green: 242-345 70.1% 3,321 yards 29 TD 3 INT 3 rushing TD. LW NR.

Has thrown for more yards than anyone in the NCAA and nearly has a 10/1 TD/INT ratio.
