Balravens0203's 2019 NFL Mock Draft Picks - Last updated: 01-23-2019

Rnd. ▴ Pick   Team Player Pos. School
1 1Arizona ArizonaKyler Murray QB Oklahoma
Balravens0203's comments: I could see Gruden falling in love and they have the assets to do it. Personally, I'd love to see Zona and Kingsbury take Murray but they have holes everywhere so in this mock Gruden gets his hands on the Heisman trophy winner and Derek Carr is probably traded to the Giants.
1 2San Francisco San FranciscoNick Bosa DE Ohio State
Balravens0203's comments: Best player in the draft and a position of need would be overthinking even considering anyone not named Nick or Quinnen.
1 3NY Jets NY JetsJosh Allen OLB Kentucky
Balravens0203's comments: This was a tough one but ultimately I think the Jets value an edge rusher more here and Allen has legitimate number one overall talent. I could easily see this pick being Quinnen but D line is one of the few bright spots for the Jets.
1 4Oakland OaklandJonah Williams OT Alabama
Balravens0203's comments: Best tackle in the draft and a desperate position of need for a team that should be doing everything they can to protect and help their young Qb.
1 5Tampa Bay Tampa BayDwayne Haskins QB Ohio State
Balravens0203's comments: I think the Jags are far more desperate for a Qb than the Giants and in a draft that is pretty short on high quality Qb talent, moving up is a move they have to make. To me, Haskins and Murray are the elite Qb's in this draft and I can't see Jax settling for another Missouri Qb or Daniel Jones (rolls eyes*).
1 6NY Giants NY GiantsQuinnen Williams DE Alabama
Balravens0203's comments: In this scenario the NYG are sprinting to the podium to select a player who very well could be the best in this draft. Their continued commitment to Eli Manning shows me they have little urgency in finding his replacement and outside of maybe two or three Qb's in this draft there's not many options. But hey it's not like they have to watch Sam Darnold play in the same stadium :/. At least they got Saquon!
1 7Jacksonville JacksonvilleEd Oliver DT Houston
Balravens0203's comments: Gerald McCoy replacement? I could see Tampa going corner here as well but Oliver has the physical traits that make it hard to pass on him here.
1 8Detroit DetroitRashan Gary DE Michigan
Balravens0203's comments: Similar to Oliver, Gary will be a high pick because of potential and physical tools but this is also a massive position of need for Detroit. This is a good draft to need an edge rusher.
1 9Buffalo BuffaloDexter Lawrence DT Clemson
Balravens0203's comments: I admittedly have a soft spot for Lawrence but he's an absolutely dominate player that could step right in for Kyle Williams. I think Lawrence separates himself with his size and pass rushing skills but I could also see the Bills targeting a tackle to protect their young Qb.
1 10Denver DenverDrew Lock QB Missouri
Balravens0203's comments: Lock has grown on me, I don't necessarily believe he's a top 10 pick but because of the inherent value of the position and the lack of talent in this draft I could see Elway falling in love with his arm and taking him here.
1 11Cincinnati CincinnatiDalton Risner OT Kansas State
Balravens0203's comments: A perfect match of need and value. I'm higher on Risner than most, I think teams will value his four year consistency and could be a late riser similar to Frank Ragnow or Jack Conklin in recent years.
1 12Green Bay Green BayDeionte Thompson S Alabama
Balravens0203's comments: Maybe a little early for Thompson but would be a perfect fit at a position of need for GB. Thompson has true sideline to sideline range but questions about his size may push him down the board.
1 13Miami MiamiChristian Wilkins DT Clemson
Balravens0203's comments: Probably goes much higher in other drafts but instead Miami lucks out and takes a premier interior rusher that they've been missing since Suh left.
1 14Atlanta AtlantaGreedy Williams CB LSU
Balravens0203's comments: Would be a perfect fit for Dan Quinn's system, don't know if he drops this far but if he does Atlanta should be sprinting to the podium.
1 15Washington WashingtonBrian Burns DE Florida State
Balravens0203's comments: Kerrigan has taken a step back and Preston Smith is a fa. You can never have too many edge defenders and Burns is one of the best in this class.
1 16Carolina CarolinaClelin Ferrell DE Clemson
Balravens0203's comments: Once again, you can't have too many edge defenders and Ferrell is also a premier player in this class. I might not be as high on him as sum but he'll be a great value in a deep defensive draft.
1 17NY Giants NY GiantsByron Murphy CB Washington
Balravens0203's comments: Honestly, there's no way Murphy gets here but I said the same thing about Derwin James last year. His size could give teams pause but is the best Cb in the draft in my opinion.
1 18Minnesota MinnesotaGreg Little OT Mississippi
Balravens0203's comments: This pick has to be a tackle you must protect your 80 million dollar investment, period.
1 19Tennessee TennesseeDeandre Baker CB Georgia
Balravens0203's comments: Maybe the most sure thing at corner in the draft. Lacks elite size but produced at elite rates and consistently against some of the best players in college football. Could and probably should go higher.
1 20Pittsburgh PittsburghDevin White ILB LSU
Balravens0203's comments: Would be a perfect fit for a team that is desperately missing Ryan Shazier. White is the kind of ilb that is most valuable in today's NFL and is definitely worth a top 20 pick.
1 21Seattle SeattleJachai Polite DE Florida
Balravens0203's comments: Polite only has one year of elite production but as I said before, you can't have too many talented pass rusher. Frank Clark is also a free agent.
1 22Baltimore BaltimoreA.J. Brown WR Mississippi
Balravens0203's comments: Being a Baltimore fan, this pick may be a little biased. I don't necessarily think A.J Brown is the best receiver in this class but I do think he maybe has the fewest holes in his game compared to other receivers. He'd be a big target for Lamar and is proficient at accumulating YAC, something the inconsistent Jackson is going to need to rely on. If I'm Eric DeCosta this pick has to be someone who can help your young Qb whether that's a linemen or receiver.
1 23Houston HoustonJawaan Taylor OT Florida
Balravens0203's comments: Similar to the Vikings, this pick MUST be a tackle. The Texans (and every other team) will only go as far a their Qb therefore protecting him ust be objective number one. I'm not as high on Taylor as other but I think his rawness could push him to the Texans.
1 24Oakland OaklandDre’Mont Jones DT Ohio State
Balravens0203's comments: A guy that goes much higher in other drafts, Jones is extremely talented and would add much needed pass rush to the worst defense in the league. If they move up for Murray this pick would likely be gone in that scenario I could see Arizona also taking Jones as it would be best player available and a position of need.
1 25Philadelphia PhiladelphiaJeffrey Simmons DT Mississippi State
Balravens0203's comments: If I'm a Gm Simmons is off my board completely. This pick is a complete guess as Simmons has top 5 talent but can be seen punching a women on camera. My guess is he falls out of the top pick but is entirely too talented to make it out of the first round. Teams would be very scared of a Jeffery Simmons and Fletcher Cox defensive front.
1 26Indianapolis IndianapolisMarquise Brown WR Oklahoma
Balravens0203's comments: Imagine an offense where Andrew Luck gets to chuck it to Hollywood and T.Y. Do I have to say more?
1 27Oakland OaklandTaylor Rapp S Washington
Balravens0203's comments: One of the more consistent safeties throughout his college career, would bring some much needed stability and leadership to that atrocious Raiders secondary.
1 28LA Chargers LA ChargersJerry Tillary DT Notre Dame
Balravens0203's comments: One of the few positions of weakness on the Chargers D, Tillary would provide an immediate upgrade at the position and is maybe the best player available at this point.
1 29Seattle SeattleNasir Adderley CB Delaware
Balravens0203's comments: Somewhat of a sleeper at this point, Adderley is a playmaker and anyone who watched the Afc championship game knows how desperately the Chiefs need help in the secondary. His ball hawking abilities and ability to play corner and safety could push him up into the first round.
1 30Green Bay Green BayCaleb Wilson TE UCLA
Balravens0203's comments: The best receiving Te in college football meet the best Qb in football. Jimmy Graham was an utter disappointment and Rodgers could use a young athletic Te that can split out wide. He can't block but who cares.
1 31LA Rams LA RamsOshane Ximines OLB Old Dominion
Balravens0203's comments: The Rams one clear hole on their team is edge defender. Ximines was extremely productive in college but I could also see the rams moving up to get someone falling like the Saints did last year to get Davenport.
1 32New England New EnglandWill Grier QB West Virginia
Balravens0203's comments: He can't play forever right? I've learned it's best not to question Brady but Grier would be an excellent fit in Belichick's system and has the talent deserving of a first round pick (sorry Danny Jones).
