TheFFLCommish's 2018 NFL Mock Draft Picks - Last updated: 04-23-2018

Rnd. ▴ Pick   Team Player Pos. School
1 1Cleveland ClevelandSam Darnold QB USC
TheFFLCommish's comments: There is a lot of speculation as to whom the Browns will ultimately select, but Darnold seems to be picking up steam. I prefer Rosen over any QB in this draft, but Darnold provides stability for a franchise that has struck out at QB for far too long.
1 2NY Giants NY GiantsSaquon Barkley RB Penn State
TheFFLCommish's comments: Giants stay where they are and select Saquon Barkley. Many will scoff at this, but he's not getting past the Browns at 4, and Gettleman has tipped us all off enough to know that the front office believes they are contenders.
1 3NY Jets NY JetsBaker Mayfield QB Oklahoma
TheFFLCommish's comments: When the Jets made this move, I believe they assumed there would be their choice of Mayfield or Rosen, but in this scenario, they also could go Allen. The bright lights of NY needs a winner now, and Mayfield is the electric player that changes the direction of the Jets.
1 4Cleveland ClevelandBradley Chubb DE NC State
TheFFLCommish's comments: The Bills will likely be trying every way to get this pick, but ultimately I think the Browns take the best defensive player in this draft and make their d-line whole.
1 5Denver DenverJosh Allen QB Wyoming
TheFFLCommish's comments: TRADE: I project the Bills to trade for this pick. After both Barkley and Chubb go, I believe this pick is truly for sell and the Bills make the move in fear of the Cardinals or others moving here. Allen has a lot to work on, but some front offices believe he's the guy with the right coaching.
1 6Indianapolis IndianapolisRoquan Smith ILB Georgia
TheFFLCommish's comments: Not getting Chubb will sting, and the idea of trading will likely come into play. The Colts defense is a wreck, and while Nelson would be great for Luck/the line, Indy has to get a LB. Smith is a perfect fit.
1 7Tampa Bay Tampa BayMinkah Fitzpatrick CB Alabama
TheFFLCommish's comments: Tampa needs secondary help, and Derwin James has been linked here for some time. I'm going with the seasoned player, the better scheme fit and believe Fitzpatrick is the play.
1 8Chicago ChicagoQuenton Nelson OG Notre Dame
TheFFLCommish's comments: Nelson might be the best football player in this draft, and the Bears splashy offseason gets an incredible addition at guard.
1 9San Francisco San FranciscoDenzel Ward CB Ohio State
TheFFLCommish's comments: Roquan was the perfect fit, but Ward is a great consolation for a franchise in need of DB help.
1 10Oakland OaklandTremaine Edmunds OLB Virginia Tech
TheFFLCommish's comments: I expect the Raiders to do something unexpected (Guice/McGlinchey) but Edmunds falling to them is a gift.
1 11Miami MiamiJosh Rosen QB UCLA
TheFFLCommish's comments: Miami waited, Rosen fell to them, and now they are in a position to take the talented signal caller. If it plays out like this, I'd be shocked - but it works in this mock.
1 12Buffalo BuffaloJaire Alexander CB Louisville
TheFFLCommish's comments: TRADE: This pick belongs to the Denver Broncos. Jaire jumps all the way up to 12, and shocks many people doing it. If Denver makes the move, a corner is a definite need - and the Cards/Seattle likely not letting him fall any further.
1 13Washington WashingtonDerwin James S Florida State
TheFFLCommish's comments: Washington needs a run-stopper up front, but passing over James for a 2 down lineman would be a very hard sell. With the way the board played, James is a difference maker they can't resist.
1 14Green Bay Green BayMike McGlinchey OT Notre Dame
TheFFLCommish's comments: Green Bay needs to win now, and they have to do a better job protecting Aaron Rodgers. McGlinchey is a solid addition and a day 1 starter.
1 15Arizona ArizonaLamar Jackson QB Louisville
TheFFLCommish's comments: You cannot believe that you have your QB situation handled with Bradford and Glennon. Lamar is far too explosive to let go here, so the rebuilding begins with the dual threat QB.
1 16Baltimore BaltimoreCalvin Ridley WR Alabama
TheFFLCommish's comments: Baltimore continues to just swing for a WR, and while Moore is the sexy name, I'm going with Calvin Ridley for their difference making WR option.
1 17LA Chargers LA ChargersVita Vea DT Washington
TheFFLCommish's comments: Chargers should be looking to go defense here, and while Vander Esch would be a great fit, passing up Vea is too hard. Vita provides something LA desperately needs.
1 18Seattle SeattleConnor Williams OT Texas
TheFFLCommish's comments: I expect Seattle to trade this pick, since their next selection isn't until 120. If they stay, I think this offensive line must be addressed and Connor Williams steps into a day 1 role.
1 19Dallas DallasD.J. Moore WR Maryland
TheFFLCommish's comments: I finally jumped aboard the DJ Moore to Dallas train - as his hype continues to climb. Cowboys fill a need and can focus on the rest of their holes.
1 20Detroit DetroitHarold Landry DE Boston College
TheFFLCommish's comments: Detroit needs offensive lineman and they need a better running attack. Guice SHOULD be the pick here, and Wynn/Hernandez could be the pick, but I love Harold Landry's game - he is a great addition for Matt Patricia.
1 21Cincinnati CincinnatiRashaan Evans ILB Alabama
TheFFLCommish's comments: I've really went back and forth for my beloved Bengals....Offensive line is a truly pressing need - but Evans is a HUGE upgrade to our defense. You have to look at this pick as Cordy Glenn plus - and Evans is a great plus.
1 22Buffalo BuffaloSony Michel RB Georgia
TheFFLCommish's comments: TRADE: This pick belongs to the Denver Broncos. I love Guice personally, but Michel's hype is at a high pitch. Denver walks with their DB, an RB and a pick next year in this scenario - not bad.
1 23New England New EnglandLeighton Vander Esch OLB Boise State
TheFFLCommish's comments: New England has 4 key areas they most address in this draft. LB, OT, DB and QB. Vander Esch falling here is an excellent value and one that NE likely pounces on.
1 24Carolina CarolinaJosh Jackson CB Iowa
TheFFLCommish's comments: After Breeland's failed physical, the Panthers have a massive hole at DB. Jackson is a bit raw, plays out of position at times but is a large, athletic DB that could do very well opposite Bradberry.
1 25Tennessee TennesseeMarcus Davenport DE UTSA
TheFFLCommish's comments: Tennessee needs at edge rusher are ever so noticable. Davenport falling to 25 is a perfect fit.
1 26Atlanta AtlantaTaven Bryan DT Florida
TheFFLCommish's comments: Taven Bryan is exactly what the Falcons love in a player. From his background to his playing style, Bryan will be an excellent addition to a versitle & quick defense.
1 27New Orleans New OrleansIsaiah Wynn OG Georgia
TheFFLCommish's comments: Saints need to upgrade an OL that is on borrowed time, as Wynn could step in and take the starting guard position from Peat.
1 28Pittsburgh PittsburghJustin Reid S Stanford
TheFFLCommish's comments: Guice may be in a play here, a QB could be in play here....But I'll go with Pittsburgh's biggest need - a safety. Reid is a great fit for their defense and a certain upgrade.
1 29Jacksonville JacksonvilleCourtland Sutton WR SMU
TheFFLCommish's comments: Jacksonville doesn't have a particular need, but Sutton opposite Moncrief/Lee is a much cheaper option than Robinson/Hurns was going to be. Sutton is my WR #1.
1 30Minnesota MinnesotaWill Hernandez OG UTEP
TheFFLCommish's comments: One of my favorite prospects in this draft is Will Hernandez. His college tape shows a big, mean dude that will just beat you into submission. Ritchie Incognito comp is spot on - and Vikes fill an offensive line need.
1 31New England New EnglandKolton Miller OT UCLA
TheFFLCommish's comments: New England may pull the big move here for a QB, but Miller fills an immediate need on a SB contending team - Hard to pass.
1 32Philadelphia PhiladelphiaDerrius Guice RB LSU
TheFFLCommish's comments: The Eagles brought in Ajayi, but without having a "hole" to fill (aside from TE2), selecting Guice is a fantastic value and AT&T stadium is going to be booing like crazy.
