Strengths: Portis is a tough player to guard. He has the size and length to beat defenders in the paint, but he can also bring his defender out and kill him with mid-range shots. He’s fairly versatile off-the-dribble, and can get to the rim effectively. Portis will work as a great power forward for a fast-paced offense.
Weaknesses: Portis will need to continue improving his post game to succeed at the next level, both offensively and defensively. He lacks the explosive athleticism that athletes at this point in the draft usually have. Portis needs some developing on both ends of the floor, but shows potential with his versatility.
