Robinson may be the best athlete in this year’s draft. His dunks are usually highlight reel worthy, but he has made some major improvements to other aspects of his game. Foremost, he has become a good enough perimeter shooter that he will hit the shot if not guarded. He has been very hesitant to attack the basket, often passing up the chance to take his man one-on-one. Part of this is his unselfishness, but part of it is his need to improve his ballhandling skills. In transition, there may not be anyone better. He fills the lanes and his timing getting to the basket is spot on. Defensively, Robinson is an active defender, both on the ball and on his man. He has the ability to alter shots without doing a thing – many are hesitant to challenge him because of his leaping ability. He has shown strong rebounding ability and good strength for his size. Robinson has the skills to make an immediate impact on the professional level, especially on a transition type team, but he still needs to improve some areas to become a more complete player.
