Round 1

1 Arizona Kyler Murray* QB Oklahoma 5' 10" 195
DraftSite's comments:Coach Kingsbury was brought in for this reason. This hearkens to the old Bill Parcells quote "If they want you to cook the dinner, at least they ought to let you shop for some of the groceries."
2 San Francisco Nick Bosa* DE Ohio State 6' 4" 265
DraftSite's comments:Yes the 49ers are going along the defensive line again with the top pick. This was the right choice as San Francisco gets the best overall player in the draft.
3 NY Jets Quinnen Williams** DE Alabama 6' 4" 290
DraftSite's comments:The late talk was this was not going to be Josh Allen....proved to be true.
4 Oakland Clelin Ferrell* DE Clemson 6' 5" 260
DraftSite's comments:Leave it to the Raiders to throw the first big curveball. At least Oakland takes a pass rusher.
5 Tampa Bay Devin White* ILB LSU 6' 1" 255
DraftSite's comments:Maybe the safest pick of the top ten, White just looks like the one player who can come in and start right now and challenge for a Pro Bowl spot.
6 NY Giants Daniel Jones* QB Duke 6' 5" 215
DraftSite's comments:We had Jones to the Giants...at #17.....
7 Jacksonville Josh Allen OLB Kentucky 6' 5" 230
DraftSite's comments:We always thought Josh Allen was a little overvalued in the top five as he was really a one year wonder. Not the player the Jaguars had targeted but only because they thought he would be unavailable.
8 Detroit T.J. Hockenson** TE Iowa 6' 5" 245
DraftSite's comments:This had to be Hockenson or a pass rusher so Detroit gets immediate value at #8.
9 Buffalo Ed Oliver* DT Houston 6' 3" 290
DraftSite's comments:It wasn't long ago where we still had Ed Oliver ranked as the top overall player in this draft. Buffalo nailed it with this selection.
10 Pittsburgh Trade Icon Devin Bush Jr.* ILB Michigan 5' 11" 222
DraftSite's comments:Normally when moving up 10 spots in a draft we see a team panic or reach for a player. This is an instance where Pittsburgh grabs "the player" they wanted, one whom is a natural fit in this system.
11 Cincinnati Jonah Williams* OT Alabama 6' 5" 301
DraftSite's comments:We were among the few outlets who thought the new coaching regime in Cincinnati would take a quarterback at the top of the draft. Good to see the Bengals address the line as they may wind up looking for a quarterback on day two.
12 Green Bay Rashan Gary* DE Michigan 6' 5" 287
DraftSite's comments:Puzzling selection. The production has never matched the physical attributes.
13 Miami Christian Wilkins DT Clemson 6' 4" 310
DraftSite's comments:New coach Brian Flores gets the dynamic Christian Wilkins. First draft for Flores going about as well as it could be thus far.
14 Atlanta Chris Lindstrom OG Boston College 6' 4" 310
DraftSite's comments:Big fan of this pick and the Falcons addition to the line later.
15 Washington Dwayne Haskins** QB Ohio State 6' 3" 218
DraftSite's comments:No surprise with this selection as the Redskins wanted Haskins for some time. We did not think he would be available and we knew it would take a lot to move up from #15.
16 Carolina Brian Burns* DE Florida State 6' 5" 218
DraftSite's comments:Not a fan of his overall play but seemingly keeping his speed after adding the weight to his frame is impressive.
17 NY Giants Trade Icon Dexter Lawrence* DT Clemson 6' 4" 340
DraftSite's comments:"Snacks" Harrison was dealt last season and the Giants get his replacement here, Lawrence looks like a starter right away.
18 Minnesota Garrett Bradbury OC NC State 6' 3" 300
DraftSite's comments:One of the worst kept secrets in the draft was the Vikings interest in Bradbury.
19 Tennessee Jeffrey Simmons* DT Mississippi State 6' 4" 301
DraftSite's comments:We figured this would be about the time the Jeffrey Simmons sweepstakes would be starting.
20 Denver Trade Icon Noah Fant* TE Iowa 6' 4" 235
DraftSite's comments:A little surprised Drew Lock was not the pick here, especially after watching John Elway fall over himself at times in his pursuit of Lock. Fant is a good pick and fills a need.
21 Green Bay Trade Icon Darnell Savage S Maryland 5' 10" 195
DraftSite's comments:We had Savage as the fastest rising player on the board heading into Draft Day. Just surprised Green Bay wanted him this badly with some quality behind him.
22 Philadelphia Trade Icon Andre Dillard OT Washington State 6' 5" 310
DraftSite's comments:Getting help along the line makes sense for Philadelphia. Only question for Philadelphia is will be whether Dillard is a replacement for Jason Peters or if he will move inside.
23 Houston Tytus Howard OT Alabama State 6' 6" 310
DraftSite's comments:Like Chris Lindstrom, Howard was a fast riser but at #23...WOW. We really like Howard as a player but couldn't you wait an grab him in the 2nd round? Many think you could have. If you think he would be gone you have a pair of 2nd rounders to move up...just a peculiar position for him to be drafted.
24 Oakland Trade Icon Josh Jacobs* RB Alabama 5' 10" 216
DraftSite's comments:The heir apparent to Beast Mode.We had the Raiders going with Jacobs at #27.
25 Baltimore Trade Icon Marquise Brown* WR Oklahoma 5' 11" 165
DraftSite's comments:Lamar Jackson has a new weapon. The Ravens may not have the best offense in the NFL but they are sure going to cause some defensive coordinators some sleepless nights.
26 Washington Trade Icon Montez Sweat DE Mississippi State 6' 6" 260
DraftSite's comments:Good gamble at #26 for Washington. This is a nice move for the Redskins...they wind up looking like one of the early winners of the Draft.
27 Oakland Trade Icon Johnathan Abram S Mississippi State 6' 0" 215
DraftSite's comments:Best safety in the draft so Oakland looking good overall in the 1st Round.
28 LA Chargers Jerry Tillary DT Notre Dame 6' 6" 295
DraftSite's comments:Can play all over the line...good pick for the Chargers.
29 Seattle Trade Icon L.J. Collier DE TCU 6' 4" 275
DraftSite's comments:Not sipping the Kool-Aid on this pick. 2nd year in a row Seattle makes what looks like the most puzzling pick of the opening round.
30 NY Giants Trade Icon Deandre Baker CB Georgia 5' 11" 180
DraftSite's comments:Deandre Baker is a good player but Greedy Williams is still on the board. Not to mention if the Giants liked Drew Lock as much as they stated why not make this trade for Lock and take defense with your first two selections? It shows us they either didn't like Lock nearly as much as they stated or they really really like Daniel Jones.
31 Atlanta Trade Icon Kaleb McGary OT Washington 6' 6" 320
DraftSite's comments:Surprised McGary didn't go sooner, ....was a late riser on many boards. Big fan of Atlanta making an effort to keep Matt Ryan upright.
32 New England N’Keal Harry* WR Arizona State 6' 3" 215
DraftSite's comments:The Patriots, in typical Patriot style, get the best player at his position in the draft. Harry just makes plays and has the best hands at the wide receiver position.
