SCOUTING REPORT
Strengths:

Highly touted coming out of high school, Barnett was very productive all three years at Tennessee. He busted on the scene as a dynamic edge rusher that broke the school records for most tackles for loss (20.5) and sacks (10) by a true freshmen, and finished his Vols career with 32 career sacks. With a thick frame and ability to rush off the edge or interior, Barnett might be the most NFL ready edge presence in the draft. He has incredible anticipation and speed off the edge to beat blockers. Coaches rave about his work ethic and leadership ability on and off the field. Fits best at the next level as a 34 edge linebacker. The kid is young at just 20-years old.

Weaknesses:

Not an explosive athlete. Won with speed in college and guessing snaps counts, which won't be as successful in the NFL. Needs to develop more as a pass rusher and work on counter moves when engaged with a blocker. He doesn't have ideal height.
