Weight 255
Country United States
Position Tight End
Graduating Class 2017
School University of Michigan
Draft History
Drafted in 2017 NFL Draft: 5th Round, 145th Overall Pick by Cleveland Cleveland
DraftSite Scouting Report Strengths:

Toughness and a willingness to make grabs over the middle of the field. He has a great set of hands. A lunch pail type tight end that also overs plus athletic ability. Great work ethic and leadership qualities. Played in Jim Harbaugh's pro-style offense. He should be able to contribute right away in the red zone.

Weaknesses:

Not very fast and slow off the snap. Needs a ton of work as a in-line blocker. Needs to bulk up some with an NFL lifting program. Tore his ACL in the Orange Bowl against Florida State and might not be ready for Week 1.

NFL Comparison: CJ Fiedorowicz

User Scouting Reports

Yeah, it's going to be a pain in the butt all right. Jake Butt has the ability to block and go downfield whenever the opportunity arises. Can he be a good block-and-catch type of TE?
