SCOUTING REPORT
Strengths:

Garrett is an absolute monster. The kid is one the best pure pass rushers to enter the draft in the last decade. He’s the total package with a rare combination of size, explosiveness, athleticism, flexibility and length to dominate offensive tackles off the edge. He's versatile enough to fit into any defense, but will best be used off the edge in a 34 defense. In three seasons at Texas A&M, Garrett was very productive making multiple All-American teams and finishing with a career 31 sacks, and 47 tackles for loss. The Aggie pass rusher looks like a safe pick and someone NFL front offices will feel they can plug and play from the start. He's the current favorite to be drafted first overall.

Weaknesses:

There aren’t very many knocks on Garrett’s game but no prospect is perfect. Garrett could improve on his efforts against the run and bulk up a bit. He is still learning as a pass rusher and needs to develop more as he relied to much on his athletic ability in college to beat blockers. Durability concerns are also warranted as he's dealt with a couple injuries which caused him to miss games. Garrett never played over 70% of defensive snaps, during his three years at College Station.
