USER SCOUTING REPORTS

SHOWING 1 OF 1 PROFILE

Eli Manning just turned 37, and he's in obvious decline. Pat Shurmur has indicated that he wants to keep Manning on for one more year, but he'll want his own franchise quarterback for 2019 and beyond. I've had a quarterback listed here for a while, but the more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me that the Giants will wait until the 2019 or 2020 NFL Drafts to select a quarterback. The previous coach was fired for benching Manning, and Shurmur came in and said that Manning was his guy for this season. Shurmur easily could've dealt Manning, but he didn't, so why would he create controversy by taking one of the mediocre quarterback prospects this year? If Shurmur truly believes Manning isn't done, he'll pair him with the best player in the class, Saquon Barkley. The Giants have no running game to speak of, and that would definitely change with Barkley being drafted and guard Andrew Norwell being signed via free agency.
