Rare athlete. Former prep quarterback with great speed for his size. Very good, strong hands to snatch the ball effortlessly. Not easy to bring down in the open field; will break tackles and shows decent balance. A field-stretcher. Not a great inline drive blocker in the run game and can get bulled in pass protection by defensive linemen. However, with his athleticism and length, he is a very effective blocker in the open field and on the second level of the defense. Finishes blocks. Plays with passion and energy. Has a high ceiling as a very good pass catching #1 tight end. Can play a number of positions in a formation.
