Team Needs: D, RW, C, LW, G

Draft Preview: The chaos surrounding the Senators is going to make GM Pierre Dorion's job difficult on all fronts. There are at least two more quality players that look to be departing, and the might be adding a landfill of additional picks or be muddled in the trade discussions being tabled until after the draft. There is evidence they might be back against the wall to take the best push defenseman on the board because they may have to replace the best one on their roster. This would go against common sense IF Montreal passes on Filip Zadina. This is a team without picks in the second and third of a deep prospect pool so if there was a team destined to move out by necessity or draft for need by necessity, it might be the Senators. They just might break Detroit's heart by selecting Quinn Hughes. Or have as there target a defender that they can afford to wait longer for. There second first rounder currently slotted at #22 can be used to go in many directions, but in a draft class that may have defenseman going is as large of numbers as Forwards, it might be prudent to lock in a developmental back-liner your scouts really like.
