  • DRAFTSITE DRAFT PREVIEW

Team Needs: C, D, G, LW, RW

It is not necessarily that the Penquin's front office doesn't embrace the draft as much as they have continued to use it as a means to bolstering their present Cup challenging as the end goal. Only a couple of prospects from the first rounds remain to develop, in wingers Samuel Poulin, Nathan Legare and Drew O’Connor. They did acquire defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph in the Phil Kessel trade, and he is coming on, but this franchise will be looking at any and all positions to add talent. Barring a trade for part of their NHL team roster, they will not go to the microphone until slot #76 in the 3rd round, and best player on the board will be the strategy, with hopes a centre with strong upside is still there. --Bill Placzek--
