Strongly built upright skating defender with four-direction mobility and a solid understanding of the back end. So far is content with concentrating on mid-ice and the defensive zone and holds back with activating and attacking when he is carrying the puck for extended periods in the attack zone. He does has a good heavy point shot. Isn't an aggressive player; more of a pin and seal player who will rub an attacker off, not try to overpower him. He uses his stick and good positioning to clog passing lanes and seems to be poised and calm under pressure. Solid passer who will have to continue to improve his pace and attack skills. Plenty of upside to continue to develop as a possible NHL rearguard, but a long term prospect who needs to hold pucks, improve awareness, make better decisions, and simply catch up to the speed of the game being played around him.
