The World Junior performances followed his showings in the Under-20 Four Nations Tournament and the Ivan Hlinka-Gretsky Tournament that he plays in tight with his good hands and feet. Works the left half wall on the power play and does have upside as a score. Even though he lacks explosiveness in his skating, He has high-end stick skills and can deke goalies down and out with his skillhandling. His mid-season addition into the OHL saw him quickly getting time on the teams first line and in the middle of most passing plays and offensive flurries. He has the ability to quickly capitalize on mistakes and setting up teammates quickly and efficiently. Displays a strong wrist shot that you might think is underused by him. He has been unselfish to a fault with not taking shots but instead looking for teammates. He has to play at a higher level of consistency and intensity.
