You could easily argue that the Capitals have the fewest prospects that look like they could make NHL rosters at this point in their developmental spectrums. I will mention only one, Connor McMichael, because despite not being the fastest afoot, he does seem to possess excellent hands and compete level. So Washington goes to the draft floor and simply ends up taking the best players available.
