Strengths: It is rare for a 7-foot prospect to improve so rapidly over course of a single collegiate season, but that’s exactly what Embiid did during his time under Bill Self at Kansas. He has excellent hands, length, balance in the post, and a soft outside touch, albeit unpolished. He has top notch athleticism and excellent timing, which allows him to alter/block shots and catch alley-oops seemingly out of nowhere.
Weaknesses: Embiid’s back injury is a big red flag, and since he didn’t have a physical done at the combine, teams are interested to see how he checks out.
