Analysis

Walker has emerged as one of the best of the pure point guards in college basketball. He has all of the skills necessary to run the point well – good ballhandler, sees the court well, good speed, nice passer. On offense, he does a good job penetrating, often settling for a little runner in the lane to score, though sometimes his speed can be too much, and he ends up overpenetrating. On defense, Walker does a great job covering the ball, and keeping opposing point guards out of the middle. He needs to work on his discipline on the defensive end where he gambles a little too often. Also, he needs to get a bit stronger, which will help him on both offense and defense.
