SCOUTING REPORT
Strengths: Dekker showed the world his impressive scoring ability during Wisconsin’s run in the 2014 NCAA Tournament. Hitting long range three-pointers and finishing with big man moves in the post, Dekker possesses a unique variety of moves as a scorer. He is best when he’s catching and shooting off screens or in transition. He’s a solid and versatile defender who is smart on both sides of the court.

Weaknesses: The issue with being versatile (like Dekker) is that he comes off as a bit of an “in-betweener” on defense. He struggles to cover bigger post players as well as quicker and more athletic wing players. He’s a good team defender however, so he will do what it takes to win. Dekker will sometimes settle for less than adequate shots, and he needs some work creating offense off the dribble.
