Strengths:
There is no question Kizer passes the eye test for the quarterback position. He's got great size, athleticism and, an NFL ready arm. On tape, Kizer flashes immense talent and the ability to make all the throws. He is an effective runner for someone his size and can use it to put pressure on a defense. There will certainly be a learning curve at the next level but he's got a good football IQ and handled a tough situation at Notre Dame as a professional. Many scouts think Kizer offers the most upside of any quarterback in this years draft.
Weaknesses:
Learning the finer points of the quarterback position is a must for Kizer. He needs to improve on his pre-snap reads, footwork in the pocket and, mechanics. Kizer throws a hard ball but it's not always the most accurate and he can put more touch on the ball. The kids raw and an NFL staff will need to be committed to letting him learn before throwing him into the fire. At Notre Dame, Kizer was benched at times and was inconsistent.
