SCOUTING REPORT
Strength: There are very few running backs with Fournette's size, speed, and athletic ability. He's a once in a decade type running back talent. Some scouts feel that Fournette is a better overall prospect then Zeke Elliott. Fournette runs angry and is a punishing back that isn't afraid to churn out extra yards. He has decent hands out of the backfield and provides an NFL team a true three-down back. His workload was a concern heading into this season (300 carries in 2015) but an ankle injury caused him to miss time in 2016, which resulted in him cutting his carries in half (129 carries in 2016). Fournette's upside is hard to pass on! Weaknesses: Even with less carries this past year, Fournette still compiled over 650 touches at LSU. Due to his running style and workload in college, there are concerns about his long term durability. He suffered a handful of injuries at LSU and his most recent ankle injury might be a chronic problem. Improving his pass blocking and catching the ball out of the backfield will help him to be a more complete back. NFL Comparison: Adrian Peterson Written by Rob Michels
